  • What is GDG?
GDGs (Google Developers Groups) are local groups of software developers who are specifically interested in Google technologies and other open source technologies. Each local group is either one per city or more. Technical activities for developers range from a small group viewing latest product/event videos to large gatherings witnessing demos and tech talks, to hackathons, code labs and even study jams.
  • Google's Women Techmakers program(WTM) provides visibility, community, and resources for women in technology. You could be from anywhere, you could be in any stage of your life, a student, a professional, a mom taking a sabbatical, if you are interested in developer centric technologies, then joining the Women TechMakers group will help you reach your true potential as a women developer. View this year's events, and make sure to subscribe to this form and also stay in touch through Membership to hear about 2019 plans for WTM.
  • As a professional, you will be able to ‘catch up’ with various Google technologies and open source technologies and would be able to use them in your work. Being a part of the developer community can open up a host of opportunities where you can learn, connect and network with like minded individuals from all over the country. Also, as you gain expertise in one domain, you get access to attend Google’s flagship conferences all around the country.
  • As a student, you will be learning how to use new Google products and even the concepts behind them (Machine learning or Firebase, for example!). Plus, you will be able to connect with professionals building your network and might even help you getting an internship or a job! Plus, giving a talk on something you are good, contributing in some way to the community is a win win. It will open up a world of opportunities for you.
  • Our meeting place is not usually fixed(subject to availability of the place). But it will be a nice, safe and sound place! We usually meet once a month. You can checkup our next meetup and connect with us on our meetup page.
